1st Stage CBT (Common, Screening)
Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates). This stage is of screening nature; the normalized score is used only for shortlisting to the 2nd Stage CBT, at 15 times the community-wise vacancy for each RRB.
2nd Stage CBT (Discipline-Specific)
- Duration: 120 minutes (160 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates); a virtual calculator is provided on screen.
- Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer, in both stages of CBT.
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR & EWS 40%, OBC-NCL & SC 30%, ST 25% (relaxable by up to 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage against reserved vacancies).
- Document Verification is based on merit and options in the 2nd Stage CBT; the number of candidates called equals the number of vacancies.
